Leave a Legacy

Please remember JDA in your Will

Legacies are crucial in enabling us to continue our work.

Our incredible staff and volunteers support over 2,500 people each year.

Without gifts in Wills, we simply couldn’t help all the people who need us.

We receive no government funding and rely on legacies to keep giving people whose lives are affected by deafness in any way, the specialist support that no-one else can give.

By leaving a gift to JDA in your Will …

  • You can help Jewish parents through the ups and downs of having a deaf child.
  • You can enable deaf children to thrive, at home and at school.
  • You can provide transport and hot, kosher meals for isolated older people at our lively Day Centre.
  • You can ensure older people in care homes, who would otherwise be isolated by their hearing loss, to enjoy later life and remain connected to their loved ones.
  • You can provide daily care to deafblind people, enabling them to cope with daily life.
  • You can help us to keep giving lifelong love and support to the most isolated, vulnerable deaf and deafblind people of our community.

In short, by leaving a gift to JDA in your Will – or 1% of your residuary estate - you can help us to be here for everyone who needs us, ensuring every deaf person gets the very best out of life.

Some people are unable to give significant sums of money to JDA during their lifetime.  Often, however, clients, friends and supporters would like their name and memory associated with our caring work once they have passed away.

One of the most important things you can do is to ensure that you have an up-to-date Will.  This can be simple and easy to arrange.  And gifts to charity are Inheritance Tax free.  Therefore, leaving a gift to JDA could reduce the tax payable on your estate.

We can provide you with a form to assign either a Pecuniary or a Residuary bequest to JDA.

This can be included when making or amending a Will or can be attached as a codicil to an existing Will.
