Our services

JDA ensures deaf and hard of hearing people – young, old and everyone in between – have access to the services, information and support they need to live their very best lives.

When someone turns to us for help, we’re there for them every step of the way.  Our holistic, person-centred approach ensures that anyone who is Deaf, Deafblind, deafened or experiencing hearing loss receives all the practical and emotional support they need to overcome any challenges, live as independently as possible and thrive in every aspect of their lives.

Our expert staff provide training and guidance to enable care homes, communal organisations, schools and synagogues to understand and meet the needs of people with hearing loss.

From supporting parents whose baby has been newly diagnosed as deaf, to helping someone who is losing their hearing to adjust and manage their hearing loss, to giving lifelong love and support to vulnerable Deaf and Deafblind people who are unable to cope alone … we understand, we care and we’re here to help.

JDA’s vibrant community centre is a place where Deaf and Deafblind sign language users can communicate easily with everyone, access the information, services and support they need and enjoy life together.

"When I lost my hearing, I lost so much more - my ability to join in and my identity. I can no longer be a part of the community I love.

Gerry, JDA Community Hub
